Customer Review

All I wanted was an inexpensive ereader so I wouldn't have to lug a bunch of books with me on a trip. This unit was the cheapest one I could find. But, this does a LOT MORE than just hold digital books. It's also a pretty good music/audio book player, digital picture frame, and movie clip viewer. And has other features I haven't tried (recorder, radio); and one I'm totally puzzled by - a calendar.

Anyway, it's easy to read pdfs, and epub books. Be aware though, if the file has teeny-little print, the zoom feature can only zoom-in so much. The device is bare-bones, no fancy page turns or gyroscope - but, pages and view rotations are available by pressing a button.

Some reviews indicate problems with time between charges. The longest mine has been on was 6 hours, which I thought was pretty good.

Photos show up very crisp and bright -- bigger and clearer than my more expensive digital frame.

The speakers are awful -- but the Primer sounds great through my car's sound system, and even ok via the earphones.

My only wish is that there was a way to play Audible audiobooks. . . (sigh) . . but it'll take a while to listen to all the free audiobooks from Librovox.

Again, the Primer is not fancy, but it's useful, light, sturdy, easy to use, extremely versatile, and WAY MORE than I expected from such an inexpensive device!
